the girl by the creek

Finally, a big photo! I would like to take this opportunity to thank a wonderful woman, a kindred spirit (we were never really good friends back then, when we attended the same high school...but only recently discovered we shared a lot of interests through the net), a person I have just begun referring to as a FRIEND, and actually mean it...because in her, I have found a special kind of friendship; one that does not require us to be hanging out together in the same city or country nor do we have to be constantly on the phone talking. She is the inspiration for this new look. The driving force for me to better my craft (if I may be so privileged to call it that). A person so thoughtful (to think of me and how to improve my blog) and so generous to actually spend time sending me a couple of emails detailing the instructions on how to enlarge my photos. I am so deeply touched, because it only means that she is one selfless person for her to bother and go through all the trouble. And with that, I am very honored indeed to be called her friend. And so, I am very grateful...and I truly appreciate the very person that you are, Mrs. Josephine "Jopie" Pestillos-Quijada. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

oh, you're making me cry. i said it before and i say it again, i wish we were closer in high school. i'm sure we'd have loads of fun together. but maybe it's destined that we meet again at this time, under the present circumstances.

i am deeply honored to call you FRIEND. and i wish someday we'd meet again and talk. i would want to hear your stories.

Keth, this is a really nice photo! I love it a lot! And looks so much better bigger! Yipeeee!!!

I agree with you 100%--Jopie is the best! She does not only reach out to you, but she goes the extra mile to make sure you are really taken care of! At one time she did not only take photos for my sister but she edited almost every single one of them to make them look even more beautiful.

I am really proud of that cousin of mine. She is one true friend to keep!

keth, i thought that your previous photos were really beautiful. but then, SIZE does matter. your pictures are bigger, almost popping out! i can now feast my eyes with the amazing scenery around you.

now, this is not just about blogging...this is about friendship! keep them coming, ladies!

hi. thank you, thank you ladies.

jops, i owe you big time. and to be even considered your friend is to me,the greatest compliment. ladies, if you still don't know, jopie was one of the most important people in high school. i can't believe we're actually friends now...haha, thanks to the internet.

cinds, thanks for always saying the nicest things.

liz, thank you too because you actually showed jopie how to do it, and because of that, i have bigger photos now. and i am all the more in awe of jopie, and i admire her more for not only being beauty and brains, but for having such a kind heart, and for being so selfless. she is truly amzing! and you seem to be too liz, so it must really run in the family (or i'd like to think it's the boholano trait...hehe after all, i am partly boholano because my parents were natives of bohol, only i was born and raised in cebu...haha, mo ambit pa gyud ko!).

charm, thanks super. you are right, this is not just about blogging anymore...it is about friendship now.and i am always forever grateful of your friendship. and the friendship i have found here.

The Blogger

i love the beach. i talk a lot. i love to write. i don't necessarily make sense though. i take lots of photographs. i'm not good, but i love it. it gives me a sense of joy capturing moments that otherwise would just have slipped by. i sing, much to my family's chagrin. i love scrapbooking, but don't have the time. as a child, i chased after dragonflies, climbed mango trees and even coconut trees, and fell in love with the fireflies in my lola's hometown of bohol. i love cebu. it will always be home. i adore my beautiful kids. i am married to my bestfriend. and i am so blessed with their love.
